I have introduced Ravenswood Joomla Server to Chinese users at http://www.joomlagate.com as the best local testing server when studing Joomla.

But now I have a new problem. We Chinese users always use utf-8 as the default site charset. So we need to set the Collation of the database first in phpMyAdmin before installing Joomla.

But I did not found the collation operating option in the phpMyAdmin page of the RJS.

How can I do it ?

Thanks.

Hi,

the version of mysql supplied doesn't support UTF8.. you could change it yourself..

I have a new version of RJS which will be out soon with php5/mysql5

Cheers

John
